Hi! I am Dasha Starostin. My artistic practice includes illustration, printmaking, curating and art directing.
My favorite subject is people genuinely noticing the world around them. I often drive inspiration from my personal experience, so I talk a lot about being a migrant woman, mental health and I also (since recently) start addressing the subject of autism.
In 2024 together with Diede van Ommen we founded Ilustration, small press and riso Studio Vlinderboom.
My list of clients includes the Dutch National Women's Soccer Team; the 1M youtube travel channel I Want To Go Home, the Rotterdam music festivals Metropolis and Poetry International, De Vrolijkheid, and OBA
2nd price Small Press Big Award, Gent (2022) for Under KUNSTruction
